Job description:
A post-doctoral position is available at the SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis. The project will focus on experimental work in the area of thermal heterogeneous catalysis. In particular, the post-doctoral researcher will aim to achieve control over the morphology and composition of supported nanoparticle catalysts to understand fundamental catalytic processes at the atomic level for key energy-related chemical reactions, including but not limited to: alkane dehydrogenation, syngas to oxygenates and CO2 activation and conversion. The work will require the synthesis, testing and characterization of catalytic materials. The candidate will also be involved in the development of SUNCAT operando capabilities at SLAC National laboratory. The position is at the SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis, a partnership between Stanford University and SLAC National Acceleratory Laboratory in Menlo Park, California, USA. The appointment is for 1 year with a possible extension of 1 year (1+1) based on successful research productivity and continued funding.
SUNCAT values the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which enable excellence in research.
