Post Doctoral Researcher
My current focus is on obtaining improved fundamental understanding for adsorbate-adsorbate interactions, on primarily metal but also on oxide surfaces. In particular, I am focused on developing tight-binding descriptions for adsorbate-adsorbate interactions on metal surfaces. The goal is to examine how well such descriptions can capture the interactions between adsorbates. If successful, these descriptions might facilitate e.g. kinetic Monte Carlo studies of the kinetics of reactions on solid catalysts. In turn, this will improve our ability to design new, more active, and more selective catalysts.
My other research interests include theoretical studies of electrolytic processes (e.g. chlorine and oxygen evolution) and the chemistry and physics of oxides.
I obtained my PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) in 2015 (thesis title: "Theoretical and Experimental Studies of Electrode and Electrolyte Processes in Industrial Electrosynthesis"). Since early 2016, I have been a postdoctoral scholar at SUNCAT, working together with Dr. Thomas Bligaard primarily on new predictive models for adsorbate-adsorbate interactions.
